A Bit About Me
I am a Brazilian-born sculptor and art educator, based in Abingdon, UK, and the founder of The Muse Art School.
I began working with sculpture over fifteen years ago, drawn to materials that invite touch, resistance and care. My practice has always been rooted in the physical act of making — building, shaping, assembling — and in the belief that humble materials can hold depth, memory and quiet beauty. I often work with recycled and everyday materials alongside traditional media, allowing form to emerge slowly through attention rather than control.
Teaching has been a natural extension of my own artistic journey. At The Muse Art School, I guide children and adults through a hands-on, process-led approach to sculpture, where the focus is not on perfect outcomes or technical display, but on presence, curiosity and continuity. I believe art becomes most meaningful when it offers space to slow down, reconnect with the hands, and rediscover the pleasure of making without judgement.

Alongside my teaching practice, I continue to develop my own sculptural work. My earlier figurative pieces, often inspired by animals and organic forms, grew from a close relationship with material, structure and balance.

More recently, my practice has been moving towards abstract, wall-based works, where form becomes quieter and space, rhythm and surface take the lead. This new body of work is still unfolding and reflects a continued interest in slowness, restraint and contemplative presence.

Everything I do, both as an artist and as an educator, is guided by the same principle:
to transform simple materials into spaces of attention, care and quiet joy.
