Creativity That Connects Generations
This weekend in Abingdon, we’ll be joining Age UK Oxfordshire’s Healthfest to share the joy of creativity with older members of our community.
Crafts and creative activities are not just pastimes – they are powerful ways to stay connected. When elders make something with their hands, they are reminded of their own skills, talents, and creativity. These moments of making bring a sense of pride, while also offering the chance to meet new friends and feel part of something bigger.
Loneliness is one of the greatest challenges for older people, but creativity has a unique way of breaking down barriers. Whether through papercraft, music, or dance, each activity opens space for conversation, smiles, and shared experiences.
We believe that ageing should be celebrated with joy, expression, and community – and events like Healthfest help make that possible. We can’t wait to be there, learning and creating side by side.
